How to use OctoVPN on your Console (MacOS)

To connect your Mac to your gaming console using OpenVPN, you will need to first install the TunnelBlick client on your Mac. You can download the latest version of the TunnelBlick client from the TunnelBlick website (https://tunnelblick.net/). Once you have installed the TunnelBlick client on your Mac, you will need to configure it to connect to your gaming console.


Steps for connecting to OpenVPN on Mac using TunnelBlick:



Download TunnelBlick: You can download the latest version of TunnelBlick from the official website.
Install TunnelBlick: Follow the on-screen instructions to install TunnelBlick on your Mac.
Obtain OpenVPN Configuration Files: You will need to obtain the OpenVPN configuration files from our website (https://download.octovpn.com/)
Import Configuration Files: Launch TunnelBlick, click on the “I have configuration files” and select the “OpenVPN Configuration(s)” option. Import the OpenVPN configuration files you obtained in step 3.
Connect to OpenVPN: Click on the TunnelBlick icon on the top right of your Mac screen and select the desired VPN connection. Enter your VPN username and password and click on “Connect”.
Verify Connection: Once connected, the TunnelBlick icon will turn green. You can verify your VPN connection by visiting any website that displays your IP address.

Sharing the connection to a gaming console:



Identify the IP address of your gaming console: You can find this information in the network settings of your gaming console.
Go to System Preferences: On your Mac, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and select “System Preferences”.
Open “Sharing”: Click on the “Sharing” icon in the System Preferences menu.
Enable Internet Sharing: Select “Internet Sharing” from the list of services. Check the box next to “Internet Sharing” and choose “Wi-Fi” from the “Share your connection from” menu.
Configure Settings: In the “To computers using” section, check the box next to “Ethernet” and ensure that “Wi-Fi” is selected in the “Share your connection from” section.
Connect your gaming console to the Mac: Connect your gaming console to the Mac using an Ethernet cable.
Verify the connection: On your gaming console, check the network settings to verify that it is connected to the Mac and that it has internet access.

That's it! You have successfully shared your OpenVPN connection to your gaming console on your Mac.
