How to use OctoVPN on your Console (Windows)
To connect your Windows 10/11 PC to your console using OpenVPN, you will need to first install the OpenVPN client on your PC. You can download the latest version of the OpenVPN client from the OpenVPN website. Once you have installed the OpenVPN client on your PC, you will need to configure it to connect to your console.
Install the OpenVPN client on your PC. You can download the latest version of the OpenVPN client from the OpenVPN website.
Connect your PC and console to the same network using a LAN cable.
Configure your console to allow incoming VPN connections. Consult the documentation for your console for instructions on how to do this.
Download the OpenVPN configuration files for the VPN server you want to connect to. These files can be found at https://download.octovpn.com/.
Extract the configuration files from the downloaded zip file and save them to a location on your computer.
On your PC, open the OpenVPN client and click on the "Import" button. This will allow you to import the OpenVPN configuration files that you will need to connect to your console
Create a new OpenVPN connection on your PC. To do this, click on the "Add" button in the OpenVPN client and select "Import a saved VPN configuration." Select the configuration files that you imported earlier and click "Open."
Enter your VPN username and password when prompted.
Connect to your console by clicking on the "Connect" button in the OpenVPN client. This will establish a secure VPN connection between your PC and your console, allowing you to access your console's network resources.
Remember that you may need to configure your console to allow incoming VPN connections before you can connect to it using the OpenVPN client on your PC. Click on "Mobile hotspot" in the left-hand menu.
Turn on the "Share my internet connection with other devices" option.
Click on "Edit" to modify the hotspot settings, such as the name and password.
On your console, go to "Settings" and then "Network".
Select "Set up wireless network" and then choose the name of your computer's hotspot from the list of available networks.
Enter the password for your hotspot when prompted.
Once your console is connected to your computer's hotspot, you can use OpenVPN to connect to a VPN server. To do this, follow these steps:
Download the OpenVPN configuration files for the VPN server you want to connect to. These files can typically be found on https://download.octovpn.com/.
