How to Connect to OctoVPN via WireGuard (TunSafe)
Requirements:
- OctoVPN subscription
- TunSafe installation file
- OctoVPN WireGuard configuration file
Step 1: Download and Install TunSafe
- Go to the TunSafe website to download the
1.5-rc2
TunSafe client for your operating system. - Locate the downloaded installation file and double-click to open it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install TunSafe on your device.
- Once the installation is complete, launch the TunSafe client.
Step 2: Download the OctoVPN WireGuard Configuration File
- Log in to your OctoVPN account on the OctoVPN website.
- Navigate to your Active plan located on the Services page.
- If you are on a Public Server plan, select the
WireGuard
button on the specific location and generate the configuration file. If you are on a Private Server plan, follow the same process, except generate the configuration file for the specific user. - Select the
WireGuard
button and download the configuration file. - Save the downloaded file to a location you can find later on your device.
Step 3: Import the Configuration File into TunSafe
- Open the TunSafe client.
- Click on the "Import" button.
- Browse to the location where you saved the OctoVPN WireGuard configuration file and select it.
- Click "Open" to import the configuration file.
Step 4: Enter Your Login Details
- After importing the configuration file, you will be prompted to enter your OctoVPN login details.
- Enter your OctoVPN username and password provided on your Active plan.
- Click "Connect" to establish a secure connection.
Testing Your Connection:
- Verify that the TunSafe client shows a successful connection.
- Open a web browser and navigate to a website to ensure you have internet connectivity through OctoVPN.
- Use an IP lookup service to confirm your IP address matches the OctoVPN server location.
Important Notes:
- Once a WireGuard configuration file is generated, it is using up

concurrent whether you are connected or not. Ensure that you delete the previous config before attempting to connect, otherwise you will not be able to connect.
